Why did you choose ITA?
The main reason I chose ITA is because it has lots of really smart people, and an interesting product serving a real need in the marketplace. Other reasons include an awesome commute, great benefits, and an opportunity to shift careers.

What's been your most exciting achievement at ITA?
My most exciting achievement has been the opportunity to move into a new role. I came out of a software development background, and I wanted to try something different which would still let me exercise my technical skills while also letting me interact more directly with customers. You get a much better sense of how the customer actually uses the product and it's really exciting to be able to solve customer problems nearly every day.

What do you like best about ITA?
The thing I like best about ITA is the corporate culture. After over two decades in the software industry, I have learned that it is the most important predictor for job satisfaction. ITA values honesty, independence, high standards, and taking care of its employees.

What interesting things have you learned outside of your job responsibilities at ITA or from your ITA co-workers?
I have a new appreciation for the incredible complexity of the airline industry. When I travel now, I have much different insights into what goes on behind the scenes to get the customers onto the planes.

What activities/hobbies are you involved in outside of ITA?
I am passionate about gardening, enjoy biking, and participate in community service projects. I recently returned from a house-rebuilding trip to New Orleans.
