Why did you choose ITA?
Definitely the people. I think it is very rare to find a place where so many people are simultaneously brilliant enough to solve hard problems and patient and articulate enough to explain them to you (and how to reset your window manager as well).

What's been your most exciting achievement at ITA?
Being part of the launch of a new internal project that our group is working on. I've only been here a short time, but my initial contributions are already being used by ITA's employees.

What do you like best about ITA?
Coming to work in the morning, I feel like a kid who has to decide which playground to go to. I love the fact that I'm involved in so many parts of our application. I've touched parts of the system ranging from the machine learning guts, all the way to the gloss on the end user's experience.

What interesting things have you learned outside of your job responsibilities at ITA or from ITA co-workers?
I got a brief lesson about the center of the earth from a co-worker with a Ph.D. in Earth Science. I've also had the chance to hone my hockey, disc golf, and soccer skills with other ITAers.

What activities/hobbies are you involved in outside of ITA?
I love hiking, backpacking, and camping. I spend a good number of my weekends between December and March hiking in the snowy wonderland of the White Mountains.
