Why did you choose ITA?
I started out interning at ITA during the summer before my senior year in college, and really liked the company culture. People's ideas and proposals are not accepted or rejected based on seniority, but based on whether they have any merit. Even as an intern I was able to make contributions to the core parts of the project I was working on.

What's been your most exciting achievement at ITA?
Working with my team to deploy an internal alpha of our product for the rest of the company to test/use, and getting reactions from co-workers about how neat what we've done so far is.

What do you like best about ITA?
I really like the work environment we have here. We're allowed, and in fact encouraged, to find and try different solutions to problems ourselves without first requesting approval from managers. If you get stuck, you're not forced to solve the problem by yourself, either. There are always plenty of people who are willing to sit down and discuss different ideas or brainstorm with you at the white board.

What interesting things have you learned outside of your job responsibilities at ITA or from an ITA co-worker?
I've learned a lot of things from the various talks put on by ITA's Technical Seminar Series. Some of my favorites were learning how to make a Menger Sponge out of business cards, learning about different methods involved with trying to get computers to solve crosswords, and learning about what goes into creating puzzles for the MIT Mystery Hunt.

What activities/hobbies are you involved in outside of ITA?
I sing in my church choir, take Ashtanga yoga, and like to play board and video games. I'm also involved with a women's group called P.E.O.
