Quality Assurance Engineer (Interfaces)

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance the strategy for manual and automated testing of ITA’s new reservation system components as they interact with external systems (e.g., other airlines, governmental agencies, etc.)
• Write test plans and reports
• Create new test procedures to define manual testing
• Create automated test scripts in an internally developed Java based tool
• Track complex dependencies and relationships between internal and external entities
• Report, research, and verify software problem logs in bug tracking database
• Some travel may be required

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years Quality Assurance/Development experience required
• Proficient with QA concepts and methodology
• Experience with airline industry a plus
• 3-5 years experience testing complex inter-system components
• Strong programming skills in Perl, Python, or a scripting language
• Experience with C, C++, or Java a plus.
