Java GUI + Hadoop Internship

Build a centralized logging solution for ITA’s Passenger Service System (PSS).  The centralized logging solution will address log data transfer, log storage and log retrieval.  The intern will work on the PSS Uptime team to evaluate the task and existing tools/open source projects (such as Scribe, ActiveMQ, Hadoop, and Hive), then quickly build a prototype solution that will be tested in the Uptime 24x7 environment.  The GUI solution will allow users to indentify, manage and access logs in an intuitive manner.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Familiarity with Java or Python
• Experience developing enterprise applications
