Senior Software Engineer

ITA Platform Engineering is creating integrated operations management software and a common services platform to support dozens of different co-operating programs on up to thousands of machines in multiple data centers. The successful implementation of tools at this scale is a key element in enabling ITA to continue its rapid growth by increasing the scalability and maintainability of our products.

Responsibilities:

• Working with the internal customer and the platform team, design, implement, and test components of the operations platform suite
• Refactor existing operations software solutions as required  for integration into the Operations Platform.
• Work with end users to assess and improve usability of the system as it grows

Qualifications:

• 5-10  years experience in software design and implementation
• Fluent in C++ or Java, most work is in Python
• Substantial *nix development experience
• Experience in client-server and multi-program application development
• Some contact with data center operations is a plus

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to work productively in a team setting. Work in an Agile team a plus
• Pride in the quality of your code
• Willing to seek solutions beyond the obvious coupled with the desire and ability to deliver solutions.
