Quality Assurance Engineer (Pricing and Shopping)

ITA Software is changing the world of travel and is looking for a highly motivated QA Engineer to help test these revolutionary solutions.  The pricing and shopping system is in production with many high profile customers and requires frequent quick-turnaround releases, requiring testing savvy and personal flexibility.  Deep technical knowledge, acute attention to detail, and willingness to learn all about the travel business are your keys to success at ITA.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test cases on frequent releases of our core pricing product
• Regular bug verification updates and tracking in associated bug tracking database 
• Organize, update and coordinate bug tracking issues
• Write test plans, document testing methodologies and procedures
• Execution, maintenance, and design of automation scripts as needed
• Execution and analysis of performance tests
• Research and communicate software defects to developers
• Heavy interaction with cross-function team members in gathering and extracting test requirements
• Collaboration with Operations in improving the consistency and reliability of data used in testing

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years software QA experience, including testing applications in Unix/Linux environments
• Solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies
• Strong test strategy creation and implementation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated experience in black box testing, white box testing, and code reviews
• Demonstrated skills in integration, installation, and large scale application testing
• Proven ability to extract detailed test cases from verbal requirements and/or minimal written design documentation
• Experience with XML required
• Demonstrated scripting usage of unix shell, python, or perl
• Experience with Junit and/or Selenium a plus
• Lead or project management skills a plus
• Knowledge of the travel industry a plus
