Senior QA Engineer (Integrated Systems)
Come join a dynamic team that is changing the face of the Airline industry! We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to work as a product expert between two QA teams and product sets. The successful candidate will gain expertise in our core pricing and shopping engine. You will then be responsible for defining, executing, and supporting integrated testing of the pricing engine within our new Reservation System. Additionally, the right candidate will be able to motivate others, setup best practices, balance priorities, attend meetings, and communicate effectively within and outside of the group.
Responsibilities: • Develop and execute system level tests built around our pricing and shopping engine
• Write test plans, document testing methodologies and procedures
• Provide training and documentation to multiple QA teams on the understanding and usage of the pricing engine component within a larger, integrated reservation system
• Work as a liaison between multiple QA teams to bridge information gaps and expertise across product sets
• Provide internal support of the pricing engine component for the reservation system test team
• Execute automation scripts and analyze performance testing results
• Research and communicate software defects to developers
• Update all bugs in associated bug tracking database and verify that issues have been successfully resolved after being reported as fixed
• Help design, develop, execute and maintain automated scripts and associated testing tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional team
Qualifications: • Minimum 3-5 years software QA experience, including testing applications in Unix/Linux environments
• Solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies
• White-Box Testing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to review code changes and extract test cases
• Demonstrated scripting usage of unix shell, python, or perl
• Experience with XML required
• Demonstrated skills in integration, installation and large scale / multi-tier application testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Lead or Project management skills a plus
• Knowledge of the travel industry a plus

• Success in quick release cycles (weekly or monthly)
• Strong test strategy creation and implementation
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision
• Confidence to participate and contribute within a fast-paced, technically aggressive, highly skilled and collegial development team
