Abstract
This talk will consist of a short demo of InspireData, an award winning, shrink wrapped educational application for Windows and Mac OS X written in Common Lisp. InspireData is a polished, UI intensive application that enables users to visually manipulate data in a variety of ways in order to draw conclusions from the data. The demo will be followed by a description of how InspireData was implemented in Lisp and the lessons learned while doing it.
Bio
Jeremy has been a professional Lisp developer for 25 years. He was a founder of Clozure Associates and Coral Software among others. He did much of the IDE for MCL and Apple Dylan as well as the plotting of UI for InspireData.
