Jeremy Wertheimer -
President & CEO, Co-founder
Jeremy has been developing ITA Software's technical platform and business relationships since 1992. He has a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and an S.M. in Computer Science from MIT, and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.

Dave Baggett -
Co-founder
Prior to joining ITA Software, Dave was instrumental in developing and licensing to Sony one of the first games for the Sony PlayStation, the highly successful Crash Bandicoot. He has an S.M. in Computer Science from MIT, and a B.S./B.A. in Computer Science and Linguistics from the University of Maryland.

Gianni Marostica -
Chief Commercial Officer
Gianni brings more than 20 years of experience in the commercial travel industry. Prior to joining ITA Software, Gianni served as president, Airline Passenger Solutions for Sabre Holdings Corp. and focused on the mission-critical core systems of Reservations, Inventory, and Departure Control. During his tenure with the company, Gianni also held the position of managing partner for Worldwide Consulting and a number of international positions including Vice President Airlines based in Europe.

Milt Alpern -
Chief Financial Officer
Milt Alpern brings over twenty five years of financial management experience in the technology industry to ITA Software, where he is responsible for directing all financial and administrative functions for the company. With a background in both publicly held and privately funded companies, Milt has considerable experience in the areas of strategic planning and analysis, financial operations, treasury, corporate financing, corporate governance, and merger and acquisition activities. Most recently, Milt was the Chief Financial Officer of Applix, Inc., a provider of business performance management software solutions, where he managed the financial turnaround of the company culminating in the successful sale of Applix to Cognos, Inc. in late 2007. Prior to Applix, Milt was the CFO of Viisage Technology, Inc., and Eprise Corporation, where Milt was instrumental in leading the company’s successful initial public offering.

Geoff Andrew -
VP Implementation & Technical Services
Geoff brings more than 25 years of project management, product development, and implementation experience. Since 2006 he has been ITA's Director, Customer Relations and most recently Director, Implementation and Technical Services. Before joining ITA, Geoff was the Co-founder and Chief Architect for the VISaer M&E solution and the Visibility, Inc. ERP solution (formerly Lumonics Software, Ltd.). He worked firsthand with customers to develop and deploy technical solutions, as the Cheif Product Architect at both VISaer, Inc. and Visibility, Inc.

Justin Boyan -
VP Web Data Integration
Justin's team at ITA Software is applying sophisticated information extraction and data integration techniques to enrich travel search. Prior to joining ITA as Associate Chief Scientist in 2000, Justin was a research scientist at NASA Ames Research Center. His peer-reviewed publications on machine learning and optimization include two Best Paper awards from major artificial intelligence conferences. An avid programmer, Justin also authored three commercially successful software packages: Boyan Communications, MVP Backgammon, and the Anonymizer. Justin has a Ph.D. in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University; an M.Phil. in computer speech and language processing from the University of Cambridge, where he was a Churchill Scholar; and a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Chicago.

Philip Dixon -
VP Hardware Operations
Phil’s career has focused on designing and managing highly available infrastructures. In 2001, he joined ITA and built our first airline hosting infrastructure. He previously worked as a consultant for Collective Technologies, Caterpillar, and the state of North Carolina, and has held senior systems engineering positions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has a B.A. (Economics) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Tim Fahy -
Regional Vice President, Americas
Fahy brings more than 17 years of experience in all aspects of application and travel technology delivery to this position, where he will be responsible for the company's business development initiatives throughout North, South and Central America. Prior to joining ITA, Fahy served as vice president/COO of Hi-Mark Software (acquired by TRX as the Traveltrax line of business) and held multiple management and operations positions with companies such as GetThere/Sabre, Navigant International and United Airlines.

Paul Fitzgerald -
VP Finance
Paul most recently worked as vice president of Finance for Art Technology Group, and has held senior financial management positions at technology companies such as Empirix, NetGenesis, and Renaissance Worldwide. Paul earned an M.B.A. and a B.S. (Accounting) from Babson College and began his career in the Business Advisory Practice of Arthur Andersen LLP.

Cara Kretz -
VP Corporate Communications
Cara brings more than 30 years of travel industry experience. She joined ITA Software in 1998 as one of its first employees, and has been instrumental in building ITA's brand recognition ever since. Cara is responsible for all of ITA's media, industry, and community relations. Prior to joining ITA she held executive roles at United Airlines and Galileo International, with overall responsibility for fares and shopping product lines.

Melissa Lawrence -
Director Human Resources
Melissa has successfully led large-scale recruiting efforts and has significant experience in helping software companies navigate changes associated with rapid growth. Prior to joining ITA Software in 2005, Melissa held strategic leadership positions in human resources and administration with Oracle Corporation (formerly ProfitLogic, Inc) and at Torrent Systems, Inc. Melissa holds a B.A. in American History from Tufts University.

Sundar Narasimhan -
Chief Technology Officer
Sundar oversees development and delivery of ITA Software's reservations and travel distribution products. Before joining ITA Software, Sundar was chief scientist at Ascent Technology Inc., a leading provider of complex resource planning, scheduling, and allocation solutions for airlines, airports, and the US Department of Defense. He also played key founding roles in startups in the CAD software and robotics areas, and has consulted for several major New York financial trading firms. Sundar is the co-author of "On to Java" (Addison-Wesley) and has published numerous technical articles in peer-reviewed journals and online publications. He holds doctorate and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and a B.Tech from IIT, Madras.

Ed Orciuch -
VP Reservation Systems
Ed Orciuch brings over 25 years of IT industry experience to his role as VP Reservation Systems. Prior to working at ITA, Ed spent 16 years at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in various engineering management roles, including four years in France as Director of DEC's European AI Center. Subsequently, he ran a DEC spin-off that provided AI solutions to the automotive industry. Past roles at ITA include Director of Customer Relations and Director of Engineering for Pricing and Shopping Systems. Ed's current responsibility is to oversee the successful deployment of ITA's new reservation system with launch partner Air Canada. Ed holds a B.S. in Math from Worcester State College and was a Visiting Scientist at the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.

David Peller -
Regional Vice President, EMEA & India
David has worked with leading companies such as Procter & Gamble and Microsoft in various marketing and business development roles. Before joining ITA Software, he was Head of Corporate Development for one of the world's largest interactive media agencies where he led various initiatives for TUI throughout Europe and the UK. David is a qualified attorney in the UK and remains a member of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

James R. Russell -
VP Pricing & Shopping Systems
James is responsible for the development and delivery of ITA Software's premier management system for airfare pricing and shopping, bringing over 20 years of experience in software development and management to the role. Prior to joining ITA, James held executive positions in Lotus and WebSphere divisions of IBM Software, delivering innovative technology for the Notes, WebSphere and Workplace platforms. Prior to that, he served as Director of Software Technology and other positions at the IBM T.J. Watson Research
Center. James has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University, and S.B. degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from MIT.

David Sandberg -
VP & General Counsel
David worked with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York, and then with Edwards & Angell in Boston, before becoming an advisor to early stage technology companies. He began representing ITA in 1997 and joined the company as VP & General Counsel in 2000. David has a law degree from Columbia University and an A.B. from Princeton University.

Eli Sanders -
VP Account Management & Customer Support
Eli worked at SBI.Razorfish as vice president of Client Services responsible for client success and satisfaction of Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries and continents. He also worked at BellCore, the R&D division of the Regional Bell Operating Companies. Eli holds a U.S. patent for a cost-saving method to analyze database memory allocation that is currently used within the telecommunications industry. He has an M.B.A from New York University and an M.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University.

VP Quality Assurance
Since joining ITA in 2000, Cate built the QA organization from the ground up. Previous to ITA, she held leadership positions at iXL, Inc. and Thomson Financial, and gained experience in both travel and QA at Biztravel.com. Cate has a B.A. (Government) from Clark University.

Adam Worrall -
VP, Engineering, QA & Ops, Reservation Systems
Adam heads up the product development and testing for our passenger reservation management system. He is a published expert in radiosity meshing strategies and brings more than 15 years experience in engineering, technical architecture, and software project management. Prior to joining ITA, Adam was the Lead Technologist with the London-based Financial Times and a consultant for the London Mathematical Society. Adam holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Bristol, UK, in the area of realtime, photo-realistic computer graphics.

Eric Zimmerman -
VP Product Management
Prior to joining ITA Software in 2000, Eric held management positions in technology and product management at International Data Group and Rowe.com. Past roles at ITA have included VP Engineering and VP Implementation and Technical Services. Eric holds a B.A. in History from Williams College.
